Horton uses the 90/10 diet idea. For 90% of the time you make healthy choices, such as fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. The 10% is where you get to have fun and enjoy some guilty pleasures. Foods simple, single-ingredient foods without preservatives are what Horton calls “Clean Foods.” They make up that 90%.
How To: Tony Horton Diet Method
For Horton, it took 25 years to get his diet under control. Learning from mistakes, he has picked up tricks that he shared with Dr Oz’s viewers.
First of all, it should only take 25 seconds to make a grocery list. Stick to the list when shopping and you’ll end up spending less time and money in the store. But what should be on that list?
Tony Horton wants to see lots of those single ingredient foods on your lists. Produce, yogurt, and other nutritional foods. Once all of those things are in your basket, you can cheat on what Horton calls “Dirty Snacks.”
On the Tony Horton diet method, you can cheat if you’ve had three proper meals a day. Choose a favorite candy or cookie to reward your hard work.
Dr Oz: Tony Horton Reshake to Reshape Recipe
Keeping to this all Tony Horton diet method, you want to replace a couple of meals a week with shakes. One of Horton’s favorites is the Reshake Your Body Recipe:
- 1/2 scoop Whey Protein Powder
- 1/2 cup berries
- 1/2 banana
- 4 ounces almond milk
- 8 ounces coconut water
- 1/2 cup cashews
Combine all of these ingredient in a blender, adding ice if you’d like.
