Ellen DeGeneres Mourns Talia Castellano
Tonight the stars will shine a little less bright. Ellen DeGeneres’ friend Talia Castellano passed away this morning. Talia was 13 years old and an honorary CoverGirl.
Almost a year ago, Ellen met the wonderfully bright Talia. Castellano had been fighting cancer for 6 years. It was Talia’s dream to meet Ellen and during her season 10 premiere week, Ellen brought Talia on the show. DeGeneres made Talia an honorary CoverGirl and she got her own CoverGirl cover. Talia also got a CoverGirl makeup table full of makeup.
Talia’s motto was “My makeup is my wig.” She was a YouTube sensation, posting makeup tutorials in good times and bad. Tallia posted a cancer vlog a month ago, saying she had been in the hospital for four weeks. She tried to appear upbeat, but very tired. She talked about being in pain and having anxiety about her condition.
Her family posted this message on her facebook fan page:
#prayfortalia It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time. God speed little one, may you be free from pain and suffering, may your soul feel the light and love that you brought to so many of us on this Earth during the short time you were her with us. We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl.
