Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed an 8 lbs 6 oz baby boy this evening in London. Mommy and baby are resting at St Mary’s Hospital.
His Royal Highness the First Prince of Cambridge has arrived! Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a baby boy at 4:24 p.m. London time on July 22 2013. The baby is third in line to the British throne. They haven’t named the child yet, but mom and her 8lbs 4 oz bundle of joy are resting at St Mary’s Hospital in the Lindo Wing.
The world woke up to news that the Duchess of Cambridge went into labor around 2 a.m. She labored for around ten hours. The world waited patiently by and just when we all thought she would be having one of those long labors, the Clarence House tweeted the announcement.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm.”
William was present for the birth, as he and Kate drove peacefully to the hospital together this morning. They even managed to avoid being photographed and just their cars were pictured waiting outside the Lindo Wing.
The Royal Family “Delighted” About New Baby Boy
The entire family has been notified and “are delighted,” said Clarence House. Kate and the baby will remain in the hospital overnight.
For the last month or so, paparazzi have been queued in front of the Lindo Wing, impatiently waiting Kate to pop. For those of us that waited with bated breath, it’s a huge relief that mommy and baby are doing well.
It’s been such a joy to see their Royal Romance unfold, from dating, to engagement, to marriage, and now prams. We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge well and pray that they give their child a name they can grow with. No Directional terms, please and thank you.
