Sean Hayes Stars in New Show on NBC
“This whole thing could be a disaster.”
That’s exactly what might happen with Sean Hayes new show. NBC released the trailer for the new comedy series and it has some potential. Seeing as NBC just cancelled most of it’s comedy block, viewers shouldn’t get too attached to anything that NBC puts on air.
Sean Saves the World Pilot Review
Sean Saves the World is about a divorced gay dad who tries to raise his 14-year-old daughter, Ellie, on his own. He has an overbearing mother and is very serious about being a good dad. He makes elaborate meals for an apathetic teen and worries that he won’t be the perfect father.
Ellie loves her dad, but wouldn’t mind a little freedom. Also in the picture is Sean’s overbearing mother. He may get annoyed with her constant presence in his home, but there are heart warming mother-son moments.
NBC Releases Pilot for Sean Saves the World
In the trailer for the new show, debuting this fall, Sean realizes that he isn’t spending enough time with Ellie. His new boss is a tyrant that demands he set an example for the team and work long hours. He tries to escape out of the bathroom window at work.
The show has a few potentially funny moments, but just like a new comedy film, the trailer shows all of the funny parts. The one thing that could save this is Hayes’ former time on NBC in Will & Grace. He has a loyal following of fans and all of the Hot In Cleveland viewers that could be tuning in.
