I get it! Everyone is into #CleanEating and it is a noble pursuit! But Morgan Jane Gibbs of Australia has blown up the Internet with her viral post of “Chicken Tartare,” where she wrote
Just made chicken medium rare chicken strips. They’re so good can’t believe I’ve never tried it like this before. Can’t wait to dig into this with my homemade salad and veges. #healthy #newyearsresolution #clean #cleaneating.
Is she joking? Did you she actually eat this and live to tell the story??? Don’t worry, I found answers! And it is shocking…
But first, tell me this isn’t your reaction… I mean, maybe it is all of the years of hearing about salmonella poisoning on Food Network… or maybe it was that time when my mom screamed at the manager of Outback Steakhouse for serving chicken that was SLIGHTLY pink inside (but NOTHING like in the above photo)…
Ok, now that I have that out of my system, let us continue…
So from these comments – some people think Morgan Jane Gibbs is joking, some people think she is insane, some people think she is a genius (unless they are also joking?!). Come on Pedro Izolan (“You changed my life completely! I’m so eating medium rare chicken strips 4ever #favoritemeal #cleaneating”), tell me you aren’t serious! Lets keeping digging…
Don’t want to read all the comments? Let me point out the interesting bit. Levi Clarke, who is clearly a vegetarian, said “Why don’t you go and sink your teeth into the next cow and [tell] me how it goes bro” (in response to whether or not the human digestive tract is setup to eat meat or not). And then, the now famous Morgan Jane Gibbs writes three hearts and tags Levi. Hmmmm interesting, so Morgan appears to be vegetarian, or is at least siding with her… so why would she eat raw chicken?!? Drumroll please, for the next piece of evidence…
Look at the 2nd comment!!! Morgan Jane Gibbs writes “its a joke”… but there is still one big question. Did Morgan, a seeming vegetarian, actually cook this chicken and take a photo just for this joke? Lets see…
Gotta love Google’s reverse image search! Lo and behold, we have our answer. No, Morgan Jane Gibbs did not cook, nor eat, this medium rare chicken. In fact, she is merely an Internet thief of photos! But wait a second, the website she stole the Chicken Tartare photo from says “arguably the best chicken in the Prefecture and probably Japan!”… so people actually eat this?!? And they don’t die?!?! And it potentially is the best chicken in Japan?!?!? Yeah, I know… speechless. So what do you think… would you try this chicken?!? What about in Japan? Comment below! This could get interesting…
