Detox Food Pads are wildly popular in Japan, and for good reason! They cost just pennies to make and the benefits are huge. Just put a detox pad on the bottom of your feet before going to bed, and in the morning, you will notice that the pads have turned a dark color. Why? Because all night long they worked to extract toxins from your body!

Gross? Maybe. But it is more gross to leave these toxins circulating inside of you! These DIY Detox Pads will help to improve your blood circulation. When you don’t exercise enough, your blood circulation in your ankles, feet and legs slows down dramatically. These pads will help counteract that, while also making you less tired and relieving headache and joint pain.

DIY Detox Food Pad Ingredients
- Water
- Garlic
- Onion
- Adhesive Gauze Pads
- Socks
If you would rather buy the detox pads pre-made, rather than make them on your own, these are the best selling Detox Food Pads on Amazon!
But lets get to the good stuff – how to turn these ingredients into your homemade Detox Pads…
Step #1:
Dice your garlic and onions. They don’t have to be perfectly chopped, just a rough cut will do!

Step #2:
Boil a pot of water, and add your chopped garlic and onions. Let it boil for 10 minutes. Then, turn the flame off, and let the garlic and onion sit in the hot water for 20 minutes, while it cools.

Step #3:
Once the liquid has cooled off, it is time to make some detox pads!!! Carefully pour some of the onion garlic juice into the middle of the adhesive gauze pad. You want to add just enough to make the pads wet, but not so much that it saturates the sides where the adhesive is. If you have an accident and pour too much liquid onto the pad, don’t worry! Just squeeze the extra out.

Step #4:
Put the adhesive gauze pad onto the bottom of your feet (one on each foot), and cover them with your socks on top. The socks will help to hold the gauze pads in place so they don’t fall off.

Step #5:
The next morning, remove your detox pads and prepare to be shocked! See how dark they have become? Aren’t you glad that those toxins are no longer circulating in your body???

BONUS Tips:
Never reuse the detox pads. You should always throw them out the next morning, and use new ones the next time you want an easy detox.
How often should you use feet detox pads? Some people use them every night, while others have gone down to once a week. The general rule of thumb is to use them nightly until the color of the pad in the morning becomes lighter and smaller in size. Then you can cut back to three times a week, down to two times a week, and eventually to just once a week. Do what works for best for you though!
Always check with your doctor before doing a detox (and ask for an opinion on how often you can do it)! Generally, detoxes are not recommended for children or women who are pregnant.
