Gisele Bundchen: New Face of BLK DNM 

The most beautiful model in the world, Gisele Bundehen, is now the face of BLK DNM. This super model is no stranger to the pressures of fitting into the role a designer is looking for, when doing photo shoots for a new clothing line. Johan Lindeberg, the founder of BLK DNM, also shot the photos of Bundehen to be used in the ads.

At the private screening of her new photos, Bundchen told Fashionista why she wanted to work with Lindeberg, “Look, I just love the way he sees women. I think he dresses them really well. He’s very real, he’s very authentic.”

The model continued to praise the designer throughout the night saying, “He sees women — all of us — as strong and real and authentic and kind of raw and just beautiful.” The two appeared very chummy at the party, and were happy to be interviewed and photographed together throughout the night.

Johan Lindeberg Shoots Gisele Bundchen with No Makeup, No Hairstyling, No Photoshop

Johan Lindeberg’s photo shoot with Gisele Bundchen produced beautiful pictures. Lindeberg chose to shoot Bundchen’s natural beauty, not using makeup, hairstyling, or even photoshop on the final products.

According to The Huffington Post, Bundchen, who is no stranger to being photoshopped, once even asked to have her baby bump photoshopped out of a London Fog ad, to ensure the privacy of her pregnancy.  She was more than happy to explain how the two decided on a natural photo shoot.

“I came in and I met him and I said ‘this, guy he’s a very real, nice person. I want to do something with him, and then he said okay we have two hours, let’s just do it now–no hair, no makeup and really real.” Bundchen was very happy with the outcome. She also believes Lindeberg is an inspiration, and more photographers should be opting to go with the natural look.

She told Fashionista, “I loved his approach because I feel like women should be really real and raw and it doesn’t really happen anymore [in fashion photographs]. I love that feeling of, you know, we are women, we are so different, our imperfections are what make us unique and beautiful. He gets that. He’s not trying to retouch you or put a pretty light on you. He’s not like ‘you gotta look a certain way.’ He’s like, ‘you are you’ so now I’m gonna just be here with a camera, so express yourself how you like.”

Johan Lindeberg’s Natural Photo Shoot Does Not Showcase Gisele Bundchen’s Face

When doing a photo shoot with the most beautiful woman in the world, it would seem an easy decision to do the shoot naturally, however many of the images were not even of Bundchen’s face. The main image being used in the ad is of Bundchen bent over a Mercedes, with her back side facing the camera.

Her face, her hair, while I’m sure looked flawless even without makeup or styling, were not shown in the images. The majority of the images were gray, or black and white, and featured Bundchen bending her body in various positions, and wearing varying amounts of clothing. Most of the photos have Bundchen’s face covered by her hair, or she is facing upwards, looking toward the ceiling.

Bundchen told Styleite, “It doesn’t have to be a picture of your face. It could be a picture of your hair, of your eye, of your hands, of your back, of your movement. It’s not about anything but a feeling.”
